BBBSMA Welcomes New Board Members: Julie Branicki (EY), Gerard Gibbons (UPS), Erin Wrigley (Georgia Power), and Tim Wilkerson (the Home Depot).

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta (BBBSMA) welcomes new members to the board of directors.

The Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is a diverse group of business leaders from the metropolitan Atlanta area. Together, they provide governance and oversight to the agency, supporting its mission of providing children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever.

The BBBSMA board of Directors re-elected Mark Tipton (Georgia Regional President of IBERIA BANK) as board chair and David Clark (President of The Weather Channel) as board secretary. Richard Wells (Partner at KPMG) was elected treasurer.

The following professionals have joined the 2016 roster of board members:

Julie Branicki, EY A Big Sister who has been matched to her Little Sister Maria since 2005, Julie Branicki serves as Director of Business Development with EY. Prior to EY, Julie was in business development with the Xerox Corporation. Julie has an MBA in Technology Management & Marketing from Rochester Institute of Technology, and a BBA in Marketing & Accounting from Ohio University.

Gerard Gibbons, UPS

Gerard Gibbons is President of U.S. Sales for United Parcel Service – a company he has been with for 25 years, and where he started as a package car driver. Gerard earned his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Howard University and Masters in Business Administration from the W.P Carey School of Business at Arizona State University. In 2012 he was recognized as one of the top 100 executives in Corporate America by Savoy Magazine and Black Enterprise Magazine. Gerard also serves on the board of the Atlanta Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence and the Board of Trustees for Wilberforce University.

Erin Wrigley, Georgia Power

Erin Wrigley serves as the Client and Executive Support Manager at Georgia Power where she is also a member of the Corporate Communication leadership team. She has worked at the Southern Company and Georgia Power since 2000 and prior to that she served as the nuclear development governance manager. Erin earned her bachelor’s degree in business management from Georgia Tech. She serves as a member of the Communications Committee for the Georgia Council on Economic Education, and has been active with the Society of St.

Vincent de Paul Georgia, the American Cancer Society and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Tim Wilkerson, the Home Depot

Tim Wilkerson is the VP of Store Operations for the Home Depot where he started his successful career as an Assistant Store Manager in 1996. During his time at the Home Depot he has continuously held positions of greater responsibility, and is now in charge of 129 stores across several states and approximately 13,500 employees. Prior to the Home Depot, Tim has worked for Best Buy and Walmart. He graduated with a Management BBA from Georgia Southern University in 1991, and he is a member of the Leadership Atlanta Class of 2016.

The following will be rolling off the board roster after years of dedicated service and completing board term on 12.31.2015.
