BBBSMA Donor Recognition and Naming Celebration of "The House"

August 23, 2016 9am

Atlanta, GA – In September 2015 at the Legacy Awards Gala, Arthur Blank and his Family Foundation announced a $1,000,000 grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta’s Big Futures Campaign. The grant from The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation was a catalyst for BBBSMA to raise the additional funds needed to claim two challenge grants totaling $1.25 million, complete the ongoing capital campaign and retire the mortgage on the building.

In celebration and recognition of all the donors who contributed to the Big Futures Campaign, BBBSMA is naming the building at 1382 Peachtree in honor of The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation’s generous gift. The ceremony on September 8, 2016, will also reveal donor recognition installations throughout the building.

Arthur and Angela Blank will be in attendance at the September 8 event along with members of the Board of Directors and key supporters.

About “The House” on Peachtree

In June 2012, BBBSMA relocated to 1382 Peachtree Street, and immediately began to see the differences made by an easily accessible location and expanded space. “The House,” as it is affectionately called, has quickly become a home for thousands of Bigs, Littles, and Families. The House enriches the core elements of our proven program, facilitating and enhancing our extensive matching and support process. The capital costs associated with our new home, as well as expanded programs for young people in need of intensive support, have been funded through the Big Futures Campaign.
