In celebration and recognition of all the donors who contributed to the Big Futures Campaign, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta renamed the building at 1382 Peachtree Street in honor of the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation's generous gift given at last year's Legacy Awards Gala.
"The House," as it is affectionately called, which houses the daily operation of BBBSMA now carries the name "The Angela and Arthur M. Blank Mentoring Center Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta." The name new name and signage was revealed at an event on September 8, 2016, where Angela and Arthur M. Blank along with members of the board and key supporters were present.
The grant from The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation was a catalyst for BBBSMA to raise the additional funds needed to claim two challenge grants totaling $1.25 million, complete the ongoing capital campaign and retire the mortgage on the building. The event also celebrated numerous donor recognition installations throughout the house, lauding the host of generous donors who made completion of the capital campaign a reality.
