Matching 100 Male Mentors

Our ‘100 Men in 100 Days’ officially ended at the end of June. Since its inception on March 19 we have seen a significant rise in inquiries by potential male mentors, and during the 100 days we have conducted 67 interviews of which 60 resulted in a match between a Big and Little Brother.

Even though that means we haven’t reached our ambitious goal of matching 100 boys with 100 male mentors, we do have renewed confidence that the increased focus on recruiting male mentors is working.

A positive impact of the ‘100 Men in 100 Days’ campaign is that we’ve reduced the waiting list by 70 boys to date, and have 25 boys that have completed all steps from inquiry to enrollment and are ready to be matched now.

Those boys that are just waiting for a Big Brother, so we are continuing our efforts to match 100 boys with 100 male mentors, and we are hoping that by the end of summer, we can reach the goal of 100 Men Matched.

So, if you or someone you know could be a great mentor to one the boys on the waiting list, now is the time to step up. You can take the first step to become a mentor by following this link.

Please, continue to follow the progress on our Facebook and Twitter pages, and look for the hashtag #100MenMatched. And don’t forget to like and follow us, so you don’t miss out on important updates.
