This is the 25th year Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta has hosted the Legacy Awards. Throughout the years, Legacy Awards Honorees have been leaders who have made substantial, meaningful impacts on their communities and industries and have invested significantly in our cause and causes aligned with our mission of defending the potential of young people in Greater Atlanta.
This year’s event was held, once again, at The St. Regis Atlanta and honored two very deserving champions of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta – Ron Stewart, President & CEO of PRGX, and Mark W. Tipton, Georgia Regional President of IBERIABANK. The event was a smashing success, raising over $850,000 to create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the promise and power of youth.
The Master of Ceremonies for the event was actor and comedian Cory “Zooman” Miller, who provided energy and entertainment to the proceedings. Richmond Punch displayed his virtuosic abilities on the violin for all in attendance. Our featured special guest was Q Parker, Grammy Award-winning musician, who delivered an incredible and moving vocal performance.
Representing our Legacy Presenting Sponsor, The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, Angela Blank & Arthur Blank were on hand to award the Lasting Legacy Scholarship to Little Sister alumna, Katy Figueroa.
We’d like to give a special thanks to our Event Chairs, Stefanie & Samuel R. Johnson.
