The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is to transform the lives of children through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships with caring, well trained volunteers.
The Roberto C. Goizueta Mentoring Institute serves as the training arm for BBBS for new and existing mentoring initiatives. Established in 1998 as a division of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta, the Goizueta Mentoring Institute teaches the components of successful mentoring that empower organizations to serve children in their communities.
Ongoing volunteer training and skill development is a necessary part to the success of match relationships. These training sessions are designed to provide volunteers with essential skills to help build and strengthen their matches. Big Brothers Big Sisters is committed to providing volunteers with the kind of training and enrichment that enhance the mentoring experience, and therefore all training is free of charge to Big Brothers Big Sisters volunteers.
