The mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta is to transform the lives of children through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships with caring, well trained volunteers.
Communities of Faith, particularly churches, offer a wealth of volunteer, in-kind and financial resources for Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS). Often, churches are located in the center of communities where children are most in need. Through dedicated support, partners like Peachtree Presbyterian Church, Shiloh Baptist Church, Cascade United Methodist and others, have been supporters of our outreach efforts in recruitment, fundraising, and support to our families in need.
For example, Peachtree Presbyterian provides meeting space, staff support and recruitment opportunities that allow BBBS access to Latino children and families, thus extending a caring, Christian network of support. We welcome other faith communities to partner with us as we strive to serve even more children through mentoring.
